Alexander Berardi will be at Hysteria Friday, April 1.  Come meet the designer and try on the Spring '11 collection that received a standing ovation at the spring shows at Lincoln Center.  Kristen Davis, Emily Blunt, Lauren Conrad and Jane Krakowski have all chosen his creations for events, book covers and editorial spreads.  This collection was inspired by the 1960 French film Breathless with Jean Seberg.  Nautical stripes, filmy dresses, sequins and classic shirting create a fresh feeling of transcontinental style.

At 24 years old Alexander Berardi is the youngest person to show at the tents during Fashion Week this season

Alexander Berardi was inspired by Jean Seberg in the 1960 film “Breathless” which will explain why so many of the looks had a romantic vintage feel to them.

We were presented with cute feminine pieces which we would wear on a first date or on vacation.

Trench coats, tank tops, shorts with wide pockets, floaty chiffon dresses and wide legged pants were worn with Christian Louboutin espadrilles, heels or flats.

Key accessories included large totes, clutches, bejeweled ribbon bracelets and statement necklaces.

I sensed a nautical theme as many models wore striped pieces that felt very spring-like. I can see women wearing this collection on the French Riviera next year.

Each fresh faced model wore her hair in a side pony.
